GROUP RELATIONS CONSULTANT TRAINING
A TRAINING GROUP SPONSORED BY
The Leadership Institute
University of San Diego
July 16 - 18, 2010
The Leadership Institute at the University of San Diego is sponsoring a group relations consultant training session. This workshop aims to provide an overview of key theoretical, practical and experiential approaches to group relations consulting. This workshop is likely to be of special interest to alums and current graduate students in the Leadership Studies Program who have participated in two group relations conferences as well as participants in the AKRI Training & Certification Program, though membership is not limited to either of those groups.
Opportunities to:
Improve your skills as a group consultant by observing and then processing actual small and large group events taking place within the context of a group relations conference on Power, Love and Authority.
Observe and participate in actual Conference staff meetings.
Receive individualized feedback and coaching from senior group relations consultants.
Enhance your ability to match content, technique, context and delivery.
Develop your capacity to maintain a systemic perspective – holding the interrelatedness of the individual events with the overall Conference dynamics.
Design:
Members will have the opportunity to observe the large group in the context of an actual group relations conference and then process the experience with experienced consultants. Members of the Training Group will also have the unusual opportunity to observe and participate in certain regular Conference staff meetings, and to interact informally with Conference staff members during breaks and mealtimes.
